Hi @Edohlandt1 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with the HP Smart app not detecting your HP DeskJet 3700 printer on Windows 11, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem. Here's a guide to help you:

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that both your computer and the HP DeskJet 3700 printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Restart your router and printer to ensure a stable connection.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your Windows 11 computer. check for updates.

Restart HP Smart App:

  • Close the HP Smart app completely and then restart it. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Check Printer Status:

  • Verify that your HP DeskJet 3700 is turned on and ready. Ensure there are no error messages on the printer's display.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your HP DeskJet 3700. You can usually find this on the HP support website.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app from your computer and then reinstall it. This can resolve any corrupted installation files.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Check your firewall or antivirus software settings to ensure they are not blocking the communication between the computer and the printer.

Windows 11 Settings:

  • Confirm that your printer is set as the default printer in the Windows settings.

Reconnect Printer:

  • Remove the printer from the HP Smart app and then add it again. This can refresh the connection.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility from the HP website. It can diagnose and fix common printing problems.

Driver Update:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your Windows 11 computer. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers if needed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
