Hi, I have a problem with my HP SMART TANK 615, everytime I turn it on, after I set it up to English language and based it here in the Philippines, it shows that I have have to fill the indicated tanks, and then close the front door, even though the tanks are still full and and the front door is close. What should I do? I can’t see any settings so I can reset it. Thankyou!

@Gnavi, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Setup and Ink Tank Issues on HP Smart Tank 615!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It seems like you're experiencing a problem with your HP Smart Tank 615 printer where it continuously prompts you to fill the ink tanks and close the front door despite them being full and closed.

Potential Solutions:

Step 1: Verify the Ink Tanks

Check the Ink Levels: Ensure that the ink levels in the tanks are indeed sufficient. Sometimes the printer might not recognize fullness due to minor misalignment or blockage.

Reseal and Reopen Ink Tank Caps: Open each ink tank cap and ensure that it's securely closed after verifying the ink levels. This can ensure proper sensor reading of the tank levels.

Step 2: Close Front Door Properly

  1. Inspect and Close: Make sure that the front door of the printer is firmly closed. Sometimes even a minor misalignment can cause the printer to read the door as open.

Step 3: Reset the Printer

Power Cycle: Turn off the printer completely and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can often resolve such errors by resetting the system.

Inspect Printer Mechanism: Open the printer front door once more, inspect for any potential obstructions or debris that might be causing the error, and then close it tightly.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
