It says , in French that there is a problem with the scanner. But the scanner works perfect with englis HP SMART

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

The printer is an ENVY 6030. The printer is not the problem. HP Smart is the problem. On my computer it works fine. On my wife's computer it also works fine when I change her computer into English. Problem is she doesn't speak English. When I turn her computer back into French (it automatically changes HP Smart also in French), it's impossible to start SCAN. It says, in French,: there is a problem with your scanner, restart your scanner and try again ...  That's the problem. It is impossible, for her, to every time she wants to SCAN to change her complete computer into English. She could live with an English version of HP Smart, but that seems to be impossible. Windows 10 in French, HP Smart in French. Windows 10 in English, HP Smart in  English.  Is there a solution that?  Kind regards. Paul

Have you tried to uninstall the HP Smart and install and select french during the initial setting?

 

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Yes I tried all that . Of course. If it was that simple, I wouldn't need any help. I have the latest software and the latest firmware, and the printer/scanner is brand new. I tried everything I could possibly think of, upwards, downwards, from the left and from the right. Nothing works. In English; yes, in French: no. During the set up HP Smart doesn't give me any options. No matter what I do first. I tried every possibility ( I think). Kind regards. Paul

Try the below steps-

 

1 Uninstall HP APP

2 Go to your windows language settings and remove english and probably any other language apart from french .

3 You now have french as the only language on your computer.

4 Reinstall HP app from the App store and try it

5 It should now be in french

We have already tried all the necessary troubleshooting steps and yet the issue persists. I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
