Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want the latest version of the HP Solution center. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

Are you facing any issues in scanning with HP Solution center?

Meanwhile

HP Printer Assistant replaced HP Solution Center for printers in 2011 and later. HP Printer Assistant installs with the full feature print driver and provides similar functionality to HP Solution Center.

Click here and refer the HP document to download and to know how to use HP Support assistant software.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.

Correct me if I'm wrong,  but for the wi-fi printer I have (HP Photosmart Premium C309) came with HP Solution Center.   This software was not designed to support scanning via wi-fi -  very bad design.

Your recommendation - use HP Printer Assistant.

You link does not provide a direction link to the download for the software, but instead re-directs you back to Software -Drivers Download - so when you select you product this HP Printer Assistant is not an option displayed.   I'd be willing to download and try this.

Probably because it is not supported.

It's good to know that HP continues the tradition of changing a product name on the improved versions when the previous version was a huge failure.

It looks more and more like I have to purchase a new printer to get the abilty to scan via wi-fi.   Very disappointing with HP products.

It turns out tha my wife was right all along - keep the Canon printer, but the HP in storage.   Weil, the Canon died after 9 years and I had to get the HP setup  so kids can print their projects.

With only 315 pages printed on this and 20% of those are test prints,  and has used $140 worh of ink at this point.

Just not cost effective to own a HP printer - especially when the ink purchased are short-filled or the print head is wasteful.

It looks likes it's cheaper to purchase a new Canon printer which works very well using wi-fi - the software is actually easier to use and have scannning controls to get maximum resolution from your scan.  This HP software is a total failure .

And the support for this - well it's very clear this is not very good either.   People just don't know the product details and how they work and how they don't work.

The HP management must be some of the most hands-off people in the industry - I bet Dave Packard is clawing in his grave in order to get out and come back to the office to fire these lazy, incompetent people.

Which has to tell you that the managers management must be every more cluess and retarded to allow a product sold as Wi-Fi with software that don't support wi-fi.

Now if you can find the names of the people that were responsible for this major failure I would like to know - are they still employeed there?   If so, I would like a list of names so I can present to the BOD those that need to me terminated.

HP does not need clueless engineering and managers developing products - of any type.

There better not be a bunch of clueless clowns in the 3D printer business unit because that is the only business unit that can save HP from being buried in the ash heap of Silicon Valley company failures.

Perhaps my other work around is to get a 4 meter USB cable to connect to my PC, run across the office floor, and to the printer.  Hopefully no one trips over it.

Do they even make 4 meter long USB cables?   Does HP have such a cable?

HP - you invented a failure here and you should live up to the support to help address this.

Thank you for replying to my post on the HP Support Forums,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will contact you shortly and likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (such as serial numbers and case details).

Cheers.
