HP LaserJet Pro 500 color MFP M570dn

This printer has had an issue where it will hang on 'Initializing' any time my user attempts to print something after the printer has gone into sleep mode. This issue may be related in some way to this setup error I am having, after I brought the printer to my desk for troubleshooting and altering settings.

Note: it is not network-connected, so I am attempting to use HP Smart to access advanced settings

Trying to add this HP 570dn printer to HP Smart

Here is what I have tried so far:

- Attempted with multiple printer cables and multiple PCs

- Standard reboot of the printer and PC

- HP firmware update (printer had a version from 2014, it has been updated to 2022)

- Printer hard reset (removed printer cable, removed toner cartridges [leaving the front toner door open], pulled power plug, waited 60 seconds while pressing the power button, plugged power back in and waited until printer was idling quietly, put toner back in and shut the door, waited until printer was idle, plugged printer cable back in)

None of these things have helped, I still get an error message when I try to add the printer to HP Smart

I may add a reply to note whether or not the printer has the same issues printing from sleep mode while connected to my computer, as opposed to the user who was originally experiencing this issue.

On his computer, he was originally using the default HP PCL6 driver. I installed the 570dn drivers and updated the firmware at that time, which did not help resolve his issues.
