Hi there!
HP Smart App cant detect my printer after I installed the app. But the system itself (Windows) can detect my printer, it can even print a test page and print from a document. But I cant use the scanner since the Smart App cant connect to my printer. What should I do? thanks for your help 🙂

The Basics here:
If you have not done so, consider:
This printer does not support the HP Smart Application for mobile printing.
Print from your Android, iOS, or Amazon Fire device with the HP Mobile printing app.
Windows 10 HP Smart application
The HP Smart app includes tools to print, scan, check ink levels, and set up your printer on a wireless network.
✔️ Answer
➡️ According to the Specifications , this printer does not support Wireless or Ethernet.
The application may not be appropriate for this printer.

Answer
Install the Driver (printer software) for your printer onto your Windows computer.
Download, save, and install the Full Feature Software for your printer.
Reminder
Before you install the software, disconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer.
Connect the cable when instructed to do so toward the end of the installation procedure.
Your Printer Software:
HP DeskJet 2130 series Full Feature Software and Drivers
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.
Reminder
Instant Ink subscription service is available on select printers.
An Instant Ink subscription is not mandatory to use your printer.
If the offer to use Instant Ink shows up toward the end of the software installation process
AND
You already have an Instant Ink Subscription
OR
You do not (yet) know or understand the Instant Ink Terms of Use (contract)
OR
You do not want to use Instant Ink,
Then
You can select "No Instant Ink" when the "Plan" menu is displayed.
For those interested in the service, you can always choose to subscribe to an Instant Ink plan at a later time.

Once the Full Feature Software is installed on the computer, it will have added the Printer Assistant Shortcut icon on your Desktop - the Printer Assistant provides access to the HP Scan software. This is not the HP Smart application - the software does provide you a means of using the scanner part of the printer.

My J4680 printer is connected to my network and it can print. I cannot connect it to the HP Smart. My other printer can be found. I have entered the ip address for my J4680 print into the app and it still cannot find the printer. Without the smart I can't scan. I have reloaded the full featured software and the HP Solution Center is not available for Windows 10.
Are there any solutions?

The Full Feature Software, version 14.8.0, is available. At the time it was last released in 2015 , it was rated for Windows 10. This driver might still work on the latest Windows versions.
Full Driver:
HP Officejet J4680/J4680c All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Driver
I would guess the Full Feature Software contains the HP Scan Software - if so, it may work as hoped.
What about...
Assuming the Full Feature Software installs - and is functional - it is possible the following subset scan software will work. I have reservations - the HPSE software is newer than your full driver software. It is being offered "as is" with the hope that it will prove useful. No guarantees, in other words. If it does work, it does provide some nice features that may not be included in your native HP Scan software that comes in the Full Feature Driver.
HP Scan Extended
- Download-Save-Install > HP Scan Extended
- HPSE is a subset an older Full Feature Software suite.
- HPSE features are very similar to the HP Scan Software released after 2015.
- Although HPSE appears to be a separate software, HPSE is dependent on the infrastructure provided by the Full Feature Software. The Full Feature Software for your printer should be installed before installing HPSE.
- OPTIONAL: Add HP Scan Extended shortcut to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
- Open File Explorer > Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Scan Extended\bin
- Right-Click exe > Select Pin to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
- HP Scan Extended features include (and are not limited to): Single, Multiple scans, Image and PDF scans, Email as PDF / JPEG, Source selection, Page Size choices include Auto-Detect (extracts image / document boundary). May include OCR (Save as Editable Text).
