I've had this printer for almost a year now and never had a problem with it, until 3 days ago I opened the HP Smart App on my desktop computer (it's a Mac) to print something and it had logged me out during the night. I didn't notice because the interface seemed just fine, but the moment I clicked on print or scan, it would ask me to log in.
No problem, I remember my user and password.
I tried to log in for the last couple of days, hoping that it might be a bug and HP would fix it.
Except they haven't, my guarantee just expired and the Virtual Agent won't connect me to a human to talk to,
that's why I'm here asking for advice on what to do next.
When I click on Sign In sometimes it stays loading for ever...
Like this:
Other times it lets me punch in my account details but then stays like this:
I've tried:
- Removing the Printer and Setting it up again.
- Deleting the app and downloading it again.
I work with my printer everyday, almost every hour of the day, you can imagine how appalling and crippling this is for my business. For now I'm printing from my phone using Drive and I downloaded HP Easy Scan just to have a backup option but I need to get the HP Smart App up and running again.
I'll appreciate any solutions you might have.
Thank you all.

Hi,
Please go to System Preferences > General and ensure your default browser is set as Safari and check for any difference then.
If the same persists, click on Finder and then select Force Quit from the Apple menu and quit Safari, then try logging in back from within HP Smart and check for any difference.
