Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Since a couple of weeks I haven't been able to scan documents from the HP smart app on my Windows 10 Laptop.

Once I open the app and try to use the "Scanning option" there are only two options: scan from the laptop webcam and to import files. Before there used to be an option to scan from the printer, which is wirelessly connect to my laptop.

I have already unninstalled the app, reconnected the printer... to no avail.

Other PCs at home connected to the printer have the same problem as well.

Is there a way to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Vitor Marques

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Hope that helps.

I've tried that, but the problem still persists! :smileyindifferent:

If I was not very clear, up until a few weeks ago, the HP Smart app was able to handle my scanning necessities, without the need to install that bloated printer software you try to shove down your costumers' throats...
