HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-One Printer

I recently updated my MacBook Pro to MacOS Sonoma 14.0.  My printer is connected via wifi network to the MacBook Pro and my iPhone. I am able to print to my printer from the MacBook Pro and my iPhone over this wifi network. However software HP Utility, HP Scan, and HP Smart cannot connect to the printer. They think it is turned off. I used these software tools many times in the past prior to the MacOS upgrade. Is this a known problem? Is there a solution?
