HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

I had to reset my printer and this time the hpconnected.com site has changed.  I can no longer use the code and email address to setup my printer.  I understand that email print has gone away but when I go to the hpconnected.com site I get the message "0 owned printers."  I know I have an older printer but how can I register and add this printer.  The printer is registered in my HP account but not on HP SMART/hpconnected.

Any help?

Hi @Prt6789_A,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're facing difficulties registering and adding your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus E-All-In-One Printer to the new HP Smart/hpconnected platform. Since the registration process may vary and depends on the changes made by HP to their services, it's recommended to follow the most up-to-date instructions provided by HP. Here are some general steps that might help you get your printer registered.

Visit the HP Smart Website:

  • Go to the official HP Smart website: https://www.hpconnected.com.
  • Sign in to your HP account. Make sure you use the same account that your printer is registered under.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet and is in working condition.
  • Connect your printer to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device.

Add Printer:

  • Look for an option to "Add a Printer" or "Add Device" on the HP Smart website. This is usually where you can register and add your printer to the HP Smart service.

Update HP Smart App (if using a mobile device):

  • If you are using the HP Smart app on a mobile device, make sure it's updated to the latest version.

Use HP Smart App:

  • If you have a smartphone or tablet, you can also try using the HP Smart app. It often provides an easier way to set up and manage your printers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
