I have been using the HP Smart app on my android with no issues. However when I try to sign into my account via the PC app I always get a connection error message after typing in my username (email). I can still print and use all the functions but it does not allow me to sign in.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  1. On your Windows 10 device, go to HP Smart (in English) to get the app from the Windows Store, and then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app.

  2. On your computer, open the HP Smart app, and then click the Plus sign .

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to add your printer or set up a new printer.

Note: Firstly, uninstall the app from your computer before installing the latest version of HP smart app from the above link.

  1. In Windows, search for and open Apps & features.
  2. Click HP Smart in the list of apps, and then click Uninstall.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I deleted the app then reinstalled from Microsoft store but still have the same issue. Trying to sign in I always get an error connection after entering my email.
