Hi, 

 

I am trying to utilize HP Smarts "Print Anywhere" feature. We manage 12 locations and want to have an admin printer in each facility so that if we need to send documents or letters from our main office, or in the field to a specific location we can do so.

 

We purchased 12 of the same models, and I have successfully linked 2 printers up to my HP Smart App/Account but now they don't show up as individual ones, and even if they did there's no difference in the name. I'm wondering if HP Smart has (since 2021 answer said it didn't) updated the ability for consumers to rename printers within their HP Smart account?

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

 

HP Smart - Windows - does not support renaming printer.

 

General "Not-HP+" Printer added to HP Smart Mobile

HP Smart - Tap on "Ready" or "Sleeping" printer > Scroll down to Options

Select "Rename My Printer"

A possible larger problem, if there is one --

This printer model - 

HP LaserJet M110w Wireless Black & White Printer - HP Store 

The printer is not an HP+ eligible printer model.

 

There was - since discontinued - a "we" model of the M110

HP LaserJet M110we Printer with HP+ and 6 Months Instant Ink - HP Store 

That model that was an HP+ printer.

 

Why Important?

 

At this writing,

In so much that I am aware --

 

HP Print Anywhere is a feature available on HP+ eligible AND enabled printers, that is, HP+ is available for the printer AND the HP+ service package contract is accepted and enabled.

NOTE:  If a print job is blocked for more than 5 minutes, the HP Smart app cancels the job automatically.
