Hi @Smith8005 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to create a desktop shortcut for HP Smart Print, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the HP Smart app HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
Open HP Smart:
- If you haven't already installed the HP Smart app, you can download it from the Microsoft Store. Open the Microsoft Store, search for HP Smart, and install it.
- After installation, open HP Smart from your Start Menu.
Create the Shortcut:
- Once the HP Smart app is open, right-click on its icon in the taskbar (the icon at the bottom of the screen).
- Select Pin to Start or Open file location. If you click on Open file location, you'll see the HP Smart shortcut in the file explorer.
- Then right-click the shortcut in the file explorer and select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
Method 2: Direct Desktop Shortcut (if the app is installed)
- Search for HP Smart in your Windows search bar.
- Right-click on HP Smart from the search results.
- Choose Open file location.
- In the file explorer, right-click on the HP Smart app shortcut and select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
After completing these steps, you should have a desktop shortcut for the HP Smart app that you can use to quickly access HP Smart Print features.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
