HP Smart Printing (selected from drop down print menu in any application) does not find the remote printer (searching for printers never finds the remote printer). But if I open the HP Smart App, it will find the remote printer (display the green cloud icon) and then if I select print documents I can select a file and print to the remote printer without problems. Also eprint (sending a file as an attachment to the xxx@hpeprint.com email address) will work with the remote printer as well. HP Smart App installed on Windows 10 PCs and an Android phone work fine with my remote printer.

 

Does anyone have any idea why the HP Smart Printing fails to find this remote printer? I would really like to send print jobs directly to the remote printer via application drop down menus as opposed to printing locally and then send to remote printer via the HP Smart App.
