Product: HP Smart Tank 520
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur
Hi everyone,
I am trying to install and use my HP Smart Tank 520 All-in-One Printer via a wired USB connection on my Mac running macOS 11.7 Big Sur.
Since this printer model is strictly USB-only and does not have Wi-Fi, I cannot use the standard wireless setup. The HP Smart app keeps trying to look for a network connection and fails to handle the local USB installation properly.
Could someone please provide:
1. The direct link to the macOS 11.7 compatible USB driver or the correct HP Easy Start / HP Easy Admin installer that supports offline/wired setups?
2. Step-by-step instructions on how to manually add it under System Preferences > Printers & Scanners if the default driver doesn't populate?
3. Tips to fix it if the Mac does not immediately detect the printer over the USB cable?
Thank you in advance for your help!
