Hi @SPG888

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Yes, the HP Smart Tank 520 is compatible with the MacBook Pro M3. You can connect the printer to your MacBook using the HP Smart app, which supports macOS.

To print with your HP Smart Tank 520 using your MacBook Pro M3, follow these steps:

Install the HP Smart App:

  • Download the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
  • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer.

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button until the wireless light starts blinking.
  • Use the HP Smart app to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure your MacBook and printer are on the same network.

Add the Printer to Your MacBook:

  • Go to "System Settings" > "Printers & Scanners" on your MacBook.
  • Click the "+" button to add a new printer.
  • Select your HP Smart Tank 520 from the list of available printers.

Install Drivers:

  • If prompted, download and install the necessary drivers from the HP Smart app or the HP Support website.

Print a Test Page:

  • Open a document or image on your MacBook.
  • Select "File" > "Print," choose your HP Smart Tank 520, and click "Print" to test the setup.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,
