Some issues with the current firmware (002.2450A) of the HP Smart Tank 7000 Series, please forward to the team that is developing firmware updates:
1) Disabling low-energy bluetooth in EWS often crashes/freezes the EWS and requires resetting entire network configuration (including WiFi). Currently bluetooth has to stay on, even if not needed.
2) Using WiFi WPS connection method often doesn't save WiFi settings, loses connection after printer restart. WiFi currently has to be set up through EWS or HP app, manually entering WiFi key.
3) The notorious flashing scanner light while in sleep mode: please disable the flashing, it's unnecessary and annoying.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand you’re experiencing multiple issues with the current firmware (002.2450A) on your HP Smart Tank 7000 Series. Let’s go through each concern and I’ll make sure this feedback is documented and forwarded to the relevant team.
a. EWS Freezes When Disabling Low-Energy Bluetooth
• You mentioned that turning off Bluetooth in the Embedded Web Server causes the EWS to crash and requires a full network reset.
• This behavior is not expected, and I will forward this information along with your firmware version to the development team for review.
b. Wi-Fi Settings Not Saved When Using WPS
• You’re correct – Wi-Fi settings should remain saved after using WPS, even after restarting the printer.
• I’ll document this connectivity issue and recommend configuring Wi-Fi manually via the EWS or HP Smart app as a workaround for now.
c. Flashing Scanner Light in Sleep Mode
• The flashing scanner light during sleep mode has been a commonly reported concern.
• I will add your feedback to ongoing user reports so it can be considered for future firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
