Dear community,

I'm struggeling to sync the smart tasks I created in the HP Smart software on my computer with my printer.

The problem is, that neither the HP Smart software on my PC nor the App on my Android device show me an option for synchronization (the option below is not visible/available):

This option is not available. This option is not available.

  • The smart tasks themselves are working (when started within my PC software) - I could scan a document and successfully saved it to OneDrive.
  • Webservices are activated - I can send an email to my printer and the attached document was printed successfully.
  • I updated all available software and firmware to the most recent available versions. Using Windows 10 in a current version.
  • The Embedded Web Server (Scan > Smart Tasks > Accounts) shows me no attached account.
  • When clicking on the Smart Task menue on the printer panel it says, that there is not connection to the server.

Maybe anybody here knows the missing hint?

Thank you,

Emkai

Welcome to the HP support community.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

Here are the steps:- Click here

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
