OfficeJet Pro 9018
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Nearly a week ago we lost connectivity to this 9018.  I've tried everything, including:

  1. shutting down my router and printer, firing up the router and leaving it on for 3 mins before firing up the printer.
  2. Uninstall and Reinstall Printer
  3. Uninstall and Reinstall HP Smart (which does NOT start up - freezes on start up and doesn't populate anything)
  4. Update Drivers App downloaded and executed, but it stated "This updater does not contain upgrades for your device."

I can print via USB, just fine, but that's it.

The Ethernet Summary page shows "IP address: Not Connected"

The HP Network Config Page print out shows the following info:

General Information

Network Status: Offline

Active Connection Type: None

URL(s) for Embedded Web Server: http://0.0.0.0

Firmware Revision: MANHTNPP1N002.215A.00

Hostname: {personal information removed}

Internet: Not applicable

802.11 Wireless

You cannot use the device's wireless function because it has been disabled.  For more information, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the device.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

-Matt

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's restore the network settings on the Printer:

To restore the printer to the original network settings 1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Network Setup. 3. Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored. 4. Touch Yes.

Once done, try connecting the Printer to the wi-fi.

Let me know if this helps.

I have performed this multiple times, as outlined in the user manual, and just did it again to verify.  I still have the same errors.

We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Please do check your inbox on the communities page for the private message.
