I have recently tried to connect my HP DeskJet 2130 printer to my new MacBook, it did not have a USB-B input, so I ordered a USB hub, HP App would not recognise the connection, even though my MacBook would. I tried using a USBC-A input so that the input would go straight from the printer to the MacBook, yet HP Smart is still not recognising the printer.

Hi,
Please follow HP Easy Start below:
https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/details/hp-easy-start/7376041
When being prompt to install HP App, click the Close icon and then click on "Skip to software download" and follow the steps on screen to install the HP Essential Software, complete the installation and check for any difference then.
Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.
