I have issue with the app. When I open the scan menu, everything seems fine (almost).
Then I noticed the alignment of the left panel, where I can select the to preview or scan, a bit cropped.
The alignment issue is noticeable on this page, when I try to save the scanned documents.
The menu stay there no matter what i do.
I have done these but none was helpful:
- Repair the app.
- Change Windows display settings.

This could be related to issues in the HP Smart update, try to uninstall and the reinstall application,
and then check if Scan window is working back again.
For an alternative you can use HP Universal Scanner, installing the next software:
