Why does the HP Smart app show "0 owned printers" when looking at my connected HP account information from that app, even though my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer was successfully installed using that app?

Your information, although somewhat useful, is irrelevant, and it doesn't really answer my question, regarding why my HP account, when accessed from HP Smart, shows "0 owned printers"!  I should be able to see my printer information in my HP account, which is connected to HP Smart, directly from HP Smart, and not have to go elsewhere to view it!  After all, I installed my printer in HP Smart, so it only stands to reason that I should see its information there in my connected HP account, as well.  This is obviously not a serious issue, just a nice to have.  The other printer functionality that is provided in HP Smart works just fine.  I really like, and often use the "Scan" functionality, as well as monitor my ink levels.

OK - got it.

Yes -- the HP Smart (Add Printers / Manage Printers for remote printing / Set Allowed users) list is separate from your HP Account  (Manage Account Profile, Devices, and Product management).

I don't have a different answer.

Withdrawing with grace.

Thank you.  I will wait to see if anyone fixes this issue in the future, but again, it is a nice to have, and not serious. Everything else in HP Smart works just fine.  Furthermore, as you've already stated, I can get to the information for both my registered HP laptop and registered HP printer,  as well as their related warranties, directly from the HP.com website.
