The HP Smart app on my computer screen no longer works, so I'm unable to use my scanner or printer.  I have a monthly

plan for ink cartridges.

HP Envy Pro 6400 series printer/scanner.  Message when I click on the app icon reads, "The alias 'HP Smart' can't be opened because the original item can't be found."

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

That message appears because the old HP Smart app alias is no longer valid. HP Smart has now been moved to the HP App. Please download the latest HP App from the official HP website, install it, and you’ll be able to access your printer and scanner functions from there.
