Hi @Yvandj,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Smart app isn't working with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8022e, here are some steps you can try to fix the issue.

  • Restart Devices: Power cycle your printer and the device you're using with HP Smart. Turn them off, wait a minute, and then turn them back on.
  • Update HP Smart: Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed. Check for updates in your device’s app store.
  • Check Printer Connection: Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your device. You can verify the connection by printing a network configuration page from the printer’s control panel.
  • Reinstall HP Smart: Uninstall the HP Smart app from your device and then reinstall it. Sometimes a fresh install can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check for Printer Updates: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can usually check this from the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app if it connects.
  • Reset Network Settings: If there’s an issue with the network connection, resetting the network settings on your printer and reconnecting to your Wi-Fi might help.
  • Verify Network Configuration: Ensure there are no changes to your network that could affect the printer’s connectivity, such as changes in router settings or security configurations.

Try these steps and see if they help restore functionality to HP Smart with your OfficeJet Pro 8022e.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I had the same problem on a computer on the same network , same printer and there afcter cliccking consecutively HP SMart installed.  I think it is a problem with a new update from microsoft ?
