HP Smart download blocked by Company Policy

Hi

I can not download HP Smart software as my company block access to the MS store.

Is there another way to download the software

At this writing, No -- If you company forbids you using the Microsoft Store to download the HP Smart application, you cannot get the app nor can it be managed if it were on your system.  Store access is required.

If you have administrative privilege on your computer, you can (if you wish) perhaps install the Full Feature Software.

If you cannot for any reason download, save, and install the full driver printer software, you might be able to talk your IT department into doing it for you.  Installation of the full driver does not depend on the Microsoft Store.

HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts.  The full driver adds at least two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant and HP Scan. If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, the software supports the setup and use of the Fax driver. No Sign-in required.

Uninstall the full driver printer software from Programs and Features

Restart computer and Sign in

Next,

If using a printer USB cable between the printer and the computer, disconnect the cable before installing the printer software.

Install a new copy of the Full Feature Software

If using a printer USB cable between the printer and the computer, connect the cable when instructed (near the end of the installation).

Restart computer and Sign in

If / when the option is offered, be sure to select Full Software and Drivers (name might vary).

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.

When needed / wanted, enable "Scan to Computer" using the Printer Assistant

Open the Printer Assistant shortcut > Tab Scan > Manage Scan to Computer > Enable
