Happy New Year everyone!  The HP Smart App automatically installed on my PC, which is not HP, during automatic Windows updates on 1/5/24.   The HP Smart App automatically downloaded to my HP laptop on 11/11/23.  The app is on both computers, but I haven't completed installation because I do not have a HP printer connected to my network.  The printer connected to my network is a Canon G7020.  I went to the solutions center in an attempt to determine if HP Smart is compatible with my printer.  I was unable to make that determination, so I'm asking this group for assistance.

I am afraid, this HP smart app may not work for your Canon printer as it is designed for HP printers.
