I am setting up a gen 9 ipad with an HP Envy 6400e printer and HP smart app is not recognizing the printer.  The little circle just goes round and round.  It did however give me one print early on.  My wifi says that the printer is connected.  Any ideas on how to make this work, and easier would be nice?

  • Update the HP Smart app: Check if there are any updates available for the HP Smart app in your app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and install them. Outdated versions of the app may not work properly with the printer.
  • Update printer firmware: Visit the HP Support website (support.hp.com) and search for your printer model. Look for any available firmware updates for your printer and follow the instructions provided to update the firmware. Firmware updates can often address connectivity issues.
