HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer

HP OFficeJet Pro 9135e--a 2 day old new printer-All went well until the last stage of HP Smart. When it got to: Finish Setup- Printer Setup--the screen does nothing. I tried uninstalling, installing, called HP support and had the agent try same while he viewed  my screen via my mobile. same result--He went to his supervisor--came back to me and stated this oftens occurs-to wait 24-48 hours and try again as the software is being "updated"(??) . That was May 29th--Today is June1st--I uninstalled HP Smart and tried again. Uninstalled all printer software--deleted printer--tried again. Same thing. Both on my Smartphone and desktop . The printer does function.It scans and prints but I cannot access the HP Smart screen where it shows ink usage and has Print and/or Scan options. It will not complete the setup. What is happening.?? The one support agent stated this is not an infrequent occurrence. ???---But it's a first for us and we have had 10 HP printers over the year.  Please advise-thanks in advance--RPS

Are you able to use a mobile phone wih HP Smart to setup the printer?

Yes-thanks for your suggestion however I already tried using my phone and the results were the same. When it gets to the last stage "complete setup"

it begins and then the screen stays white. Nothing happens and it does not complete. (which means I cannot print from my smartphone from another location --HP  Print Service Plug In takes me back to HPSmart App) The odd thing is that the printer prints and scans from my desktop when it is connected as well as  wirelessly. It just will not complete the setup. I was told it is an HP Smartapp issue and that HP Smart would be updated. (???). What I can't see now is the ink usage when I use smart app. I realize there is another way to view  the ink usage but the app should work as it always did. The printer is now less than 1 week old.
