I've attempted to setup the printer multiple times via HP Smart app, and repeatedly end up in the same state -- it claims to successfully setup the printer, and then gets stuck on the "Thanks for waiting.." screen. If I hide the app and bring it back to the foreground there's a brief moment where I can see a dialog from the app. I've recorded the process and took a screenshot to share here, it seems like a bug in the app that thinks you're not connected to the network, and prevents the process from proceeding

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

Firstly, remove the HP Smart app from your mobile device.

  • Android: Open the Google Play Store, tap the Menu icon , and then select My apps & games. Select the HP Smart app, and then tap Uninstall.

Once it's done, let's install HP smart app from HERE
