HP Smart Software detects the printer, but only shows PDFs to print directly from the software, and it isn't showing as an option in the printer menu from any software on the computer in Windows 11 on an elite one computer ( e.g. Adobe, word etc) It's working fine on windows 10 computers. I've deleted and re-installed the software (fromand restarted the printer and it still won't work with Windows 11. It's still working fine on my two windows 10 computers. I need this software to centre things. Help! I've been going around in circles with this,

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer software on windows 11.

I am sorry to hear that you are not able to print from the HP smart in windows 11 apart from PDF files.

 

Kindly refer to the steps on this link to install the windows built-in drivers and let me know if that fixes the issue.

Many thanks for your reply, but I'm confused.  What, precisely, am I meant to download from that page? I don't know what I'm missing!

HP smart was downloaded from the Microsoft Store.

I do like this software and I've been using it via Windows 10 on an old computer. I'm just mystified why HP Smart isn't listed as a printing option from other software as it was in Windows 10.  I'm a retired older lady, and whilst quite computer savvy, this software just doesn't seem to like Windows 11.
