Hi everyone,

 

Just a little heads up in case anyone would be in the same situation :

 

   - wanting to download the HP Smart App but the Microsoft Store isn't working for whatever reason.

 

I've discovered that there is the possibility to have the most necessary features for printing and scanning through installing a driver / software that isn't remotely connected to the Store itself (installing like a usual software) :

 

  1.  Head over to the download section for your device (Support, Drivers and Download and select your device by entering its model number) ;
  2. Once you have access to the software page for your precise device, scroll down until you see the section "All Drivers" or something that looks similar;
  3. There, you can find some drivers that will allow you to configure the printer in order for it to be recognized by Windows, as well as some drivers that would allow to scan documents.
  4. The drivers work as a regular software so there's no need for any other app, including those from Microsoft Store.
