Hi @Betsy681,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

I have the same problem downloading software for a keyboard I just purchased.
HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard
P/N 3Z729AA#ABA
S/N [personal info removed]
When I download HP Accessory Center and run the executable, a window pops up saying "Retrieving information from the Microsoft Store..." and just hangs there. I've tried this multiple times with different browsers. I've tried to get in touch with HP Support but I keep getting "Sorry, we are unable to determine if there are any support agent options for your location at this time. You can use other resources below or please try again later"

Just got around this fairly easily after seeing HP Support was zero help here:
1. Go to https://apps.microsoft.com/home?hl=en-US&gl=US (should be the Windows app store page)
2. Search HP Smart and click the result with the square blue logo
3. Click Download
That opened up a working download window for me that installed the actual software.
Hopefully this will help some other frustrated people.
