HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer - H711a/H711g
Microsoft Windows 11

I have had HP Smart dealing with my printer. Until now it has been fine. I need to use the scanner on double side, which it tells me is not possible in the HP Smart app. So I tried to install the software on the computer. In the process, it says We found a better solution for you... HP Smart! NOOOOO! I am stuck in a loop. And it also tells me that "we don't support mobile setup from this device or operating system. Tap here for more options."

Really? Am I going to have to buy a new printer due to Win 11 update?

How can I just install the printer's software on the PC without the HP smart intervention?

Your assistance is appreciated.

Hi,

Please click the HP Officejet 6600 icon on your desktop and clarify if it launch the software or show a Connect a New Device screen.

Assuming it does open click on Scan a Document or Photo and HP Scan should work.

Both are different and not relies on the other, the HP Software does suggest to install HP Smart following the installation but this can be skipped and the software should fully operate
