HP Smart will not download

I am in need of some urgent help. HP Smart won't download from Microsoft Store. After the "install" button is pressed, it just goes to download pending & stays stuck there with the little dots going around in a circle for an hour. Why is every little task so hard now? I just want to check the ink levels in my printer (HP C4385), & I used to be able to just look it up under printer properties.

The difficulty you are having with "getting" the application from the Microsoft Store is not related to the printer.

Download / installation problems are usually more closely related to something tangled in the Store operation.

The store download of the little application to your computer - even on a very slow Internet connection - would not take so long to complete.

What else?

The HP Smart application might not support your printer.

There is not any full driver printer software listed for Windows 10.

I believe things are more difficult because the printer is not supported with any printer software for Windows 10 nor is the printer likely to work with the HP Smart application.

It is perhaps worth a try.

Make sure the printer is connected to your network via Wireless - HP Smart is not happy with a USB connection.

Fix the problem(s) with the Store (if you can) then see if you can finally download and install the app.
