Hi
PRINTER is an HP Laser  HP 179fnw  
I cannot get HP Smart to work with my old Samsung S8+
Works fine on my HP OMEN laptop (W10) and on my Apple MacBook Pro and on my Mini M4 and my iPad but not my mobile phone - getting a message in Android APP store saying phone is not compatible!
Looks like it's too old - is there a workaround to enable me to print from this phone?

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

To fix the issue with HP Smart on your Samsung S8+, start by updating your phone’s software. 

Go to Settings, then Software Update, and install any available updates. After updating, try reinstalling the HP Smart app by uninstalling it from the Google Play Store and then reinstalling it. 

If that doesn't work, you can try downloading an older version of the app.

 

Alternatively, enable HP ePrint on your printer to print by emailing documents directly to your printer’s email address. You can also try manually connecting to your printer using its IP address if needed. 

 

These steps should help you get printing from your phone again!
