Product: HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have" HP Smart" installed on my PC.

Does my wife's laptop also need "HP Smart" installed on her laptop too, so she can print?  Or, will it work just because we are on the same Wi-Fi and the printer recognizes the Wi-Fi?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 

Printer software does not work by osmosis.

 

Install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software and the HP Smart application on each system on your network where you want to use the printer.
