@Joeenglish1952, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let’s break this into two parts: the HP Smart app not launching properly and the support form not submitting. Both issues seem tied to system or browser conflicts. Here’s how to tackle them step by step:

🖨️ Part 1: HP Smart App Not Opening on Windows 10

This is often caused by corrupted app data or Windows services acting up.

Try These Steps:

  1. Reset the HP Smart App:
    • Press Win + I to open Settings.
    • Go to Apps > Installed apps (or Apps & Features).
    • Find HP Smart, click Advanced options, and choose Reset.
    • Try reopening the app.
  2. Run as Administrator:
    • Right-click the HP Smart icon and select Run as administrator.
  3. Uninstall & Reinstall HP Smart:
    • Uninstall HP Smart from Settings > Apps.
    • Go to the Microsoft Store (or search for HP Smart in the Microsoft Store) and reinstall it.
  4. Install .NET Framework (if needed):
    • HP Smart may require the latest .NET Framework.
    • Go to the Microsoft’s .NET Framework Download Page and install the latest supported version for Windows 10.

💬 Part 2: HP Support Form Not Submitting

This is usually due to browser compatibility issues or scripts being blocked.

Try This:

  1. Clear Browser Cache:
    • Use Ctrl + Shift + Delete and clear cookies and cache.
  2. Try a Different Browser:
    • Preferably use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (InPrivate mode).
    • If you’re already using one, try Firefox or Incognito Mode.
  3. Disable Extensions (Temporarily):
    • Especially ad blockers or script blockers that might interfere with the submission process.
  4. Try HP Support Assistant:
    • Download HP Support Assistant.
    • It can also connect you with HP support and provide system diagnostics.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
