Hi, the HP Solution Centre isn't loading so I am unable to scan properly.  It was working ok yesterday - help!!

(Warning: I am an amateur here.)

This "F & i " screen is the Adobe Flashplayer blank screen.  I.e. to say Flashplayer is unavailable.   Explanation is in Search the web for "Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning 12 January 2021".  I.e. it has been deliberately turned off.

Now I have got the HP Solution Centre working properly again but am unsure how I really did it.

I did uninstall and re-install all the HP utilities and drivers. But this without any improvement at all - was still not working.

I updated a few other apps on my desktop that were out of date (sorry I forget which). Not I thought really relevant.

I applied a major 'choose to do manually' update to Windows 10 from ??Sep 2020??.  This 5 took hours to download and install!

Anyway at end of all that, HP Solution Centre works again, can scan ok again now.

Hope this helps

Doh!

FlashPlayer annoyingly uninstalled itself again so I was preparing reluctantly to bin my 11 year old F2280 al-in-one printer  scanner.

But then...!

Instead of using the familiar 'HP Solution Centre' screen icon to invoke the scanner I tried the physical button on the unit itself, the button helpfully marked 'scan'.

And voila!

So up comes the familiar 'HP Scanning' menu as before which allows me to select picture vs doc, colour vs B&W ... and to scan in multi pages, crop and rotate and create a searcheable PDF all as before.

Use the on-unit physical button!  That bypasses the menu flow that tries to use FlashPlayer.  Hope this helps.
