  • >> Smart Tank 7605 - sayan_premium_003.2610A
  • 2. Then copy that file to the USB flash drive.
  • 3. Turn off your printer
  • 4. Now insert USB drive into frontal USB printer port.

Hi @bgraefer,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Your HP Smart Tank 7602 is stuck in a “Verifying” loop after a failed firmware update because the update didn’t complete properly. The most effective fix is to manually re‑flash the firmware using a USB drive and the boot loader menu.

Perform a Hard Reset

Turn off the printer.

Unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet.

Wait for 2-3 minutes (this clears any residual charge).

Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).

Turn it back on and check if it moves past validation.I hope this helps

Update Firmware

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.'

If the issue still persists, refer to the steps on this link to restore factory defaults.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

HP firmware updater does not see printer even with a usb cord directly connected.
I get the 404 not found error when I try the "link" to restore factory defaults.

How can I load the firmware on a usb drive to that I can directly plug into the printer and it will use when powering up?  The firmware file you are giving us is an .exe to use only on a computer and the computer cannot see the printer because it is stuck in verifying mode.  a bit of a catch 22.

I scoured the internet for a proper fix for the looping "Verifing" problem.  This is the only real solution to the problem.

Thank you so much FerRX.
