My Envy 6000 printer is connected to my PC wirelessly. The HP Assistant states there is an update; however, when HP Easy Start is running, it wants me to enter my printer pin, which upon entering it rejects as invalid, despite my knowing it is 100% correct.

Hi,

Please make sure you type the correct PIN code as listed on the internal label within the ink cartridge access door, if it is rejected print and evaluate a Printer Status Report, the Printer Pin is listed within the Connectivity Settings section of the report:

Thank you for your response.

The printer status report shows exactly the same pin as that inside the printer and that I typed in . I have tried to install this software four times and each time my pin is rejected. On the last occasion, I rebooted my PC and disabled my antivirus software to see if it would make a difference, but alas nothing.
