I bought a new Envy Photo 6255 all in one printer that was an open box. It does not have the setup cartridges. I have new HP 64 cartridges but can not get it to setup. This is the problem. This person gave me advise on how to do a hard reset but that does not work. That person ( Alden4 HP Support) also told me they were sending a private message with more instructions, but it would not open.

Hi @GWbluesman47 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer to bypass the error
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- In order to access your private messages, click the support private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
