Hello,

Following on from my old post I need to clarify whether something true or false:

I heard that HP+ means that only that it limits the range of ink cartridges allowed in your printer and that only HP's expensive ones are compatible. Is this True?

I would like to leave HP+if this is true and would be grateful if anybody could tell me how.

HP+ is an internet feature for cloud printing.  Do not buy a + printer if you have no interest or ability to do cloud printing.  CoPilot or Google AI can explain better.

Instant ink a service contract for ink that requires internet access.  It can be canceled at any time.

Many firmware updates for HP printers contain code to prevent non HP cartridges or toners from being used and come with a warning that most users seem not to have read.

Hi @Mezzo09

If you purchase an “e” series printer at the end of the model number, it is an HP+ printer and can only use original HP cartridges, you may choose to purchase the same printer but not an “e” series printer. This is not a rumor, it is explained by HP.
