HP Utility and HP Easy Start cannot connect to  printer

(I am running MacOS 13.4.1 Ventura (that is not an option on the dropdown on this form)

  • HP Utility.app  cannot see the printer - and nothing I can do will resolve this
    Screenshot 2023-08-05 at 7.39.23 am.png
  • A reinstall of drivers software with  the HP Easystart.app ( Version 2 13.372712091)
fails after it potentially installs the software at the "Continue" step

Yet

  • EWS is working - I can check printer settings etc.
  • The printer queue app communicates with the printer
    Screenshot 2023-08-05 at 8.03.21 am.png
  • HP Easy Scan.app works

Steps I have taken

  1. Regenerated new self signed certificate for EWS Success - I can communicate with the printer through EWS ok
    1. The certificate expires in 2033-08-01
  2. Tried to reinstall the HP Utility software multiple times
  3. Upgrade printer firmware to version CLRWTRXXXN002.2322C.00
  4. Reset MacOs printer system and reinstalled printers in MacOs Printers and Scanners panel - Success
  5. Reset printers Network Settings from Poiner control panel - Success
  6. Rebooted Computer, Printer Network multiple times
  7. Yesterday I had Encryption Credentials expired imprinting
    1. after doing all the above it seemed to resolve itself after turning printer off and  waiting for twelve hours -
    2. maybe a DHCP lease to expiry issue - who knows??
