Hello,

HP Utility was installed on my 2016 MacBook. I upgraded to a 2020 MacBook and ported all my files over, but HP Utility did not transfer. All I have now is an alias. I was hoping to find the application on the HP site and download it, but it is well hidden or they no longer support it. Any suggestions?

Also, when I scan multiple photos using Easy Scan, I would like it to recognize the borders of the individual prints and create separate image files. I'm sure I was able to do that previously, but I cannot find an option for that anymore.  One step forward and two steps back!

Update: I was able to download HP Smart instead, and it works perfectly. A few words of guidance to that effect on the HP site would be helpful. Thanks, all.

@jayarereston, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Here is the link -HP Utility for Mac (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...)

Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac) for help with scanning.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
