How can I assign ip addresses to many devices with Web Jetadmin. For example the printer IP addresses are 192.1.1.1 and I want to change them to 10.1.1.x. I have tried a configuration import file but it won'y change the ip address. Any help would be great. What i am trying to do is stage and configure 50 plus printers on my network and then push out the customers ip address before I unhook the printers and take them on site. Thanks

Hello Blackgray,

Mostly WJA discovers the printers via IP address. If you change the IP address of the printer then WJA communication to the device will be lost. Additionally, IP address will be different on each device. So configuring it with WJA might not help as you have to configure each printer with a different IP address.

Even if you configure the device with EWS page, by accessing 192.1.1.1 IP address and then configure a Manual IP in the range of 10.1.1.x, your communication to the EWS page will be lost as the device gets the new 10.x.x.x range IP and you will no longer be able to PING or access the EWS page.

I hope the information provided was helpful.

Good luck.
