I wish to complain about HP support via WhatsApp.
I purchased a new printer (open box, but brand new inside) During setup for HP+ services, it kept saying error, unauthorised, connected to another account.
I contacted support via the HP chat. After finally getting a reply, the next day 12+ hours later. I was told there is nothing they can do and you have to register for HP+ Smart within 7days of purchase. As you can imagine I was furious. The printer had never been used, came complete as new. I couldn't understand why there was nothing they could do.
I still have the conversation on my phone.
I came onto the HP forum to see if anyone had had the same problem. I am happy to say that there were others. I found a reply and a link to reset the factory settings. This simple task did just the job 😊, and I was able to complete setup and swap over my Instant ink account cover to my new printer🎉
I spent over 24 hours of my time trying to converse with someone who told me there was nothing I could do.
I think this should be looked into. In future should I have a problem, I will come here instead of actually speaking to a designated support operative.
