@Debra201, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One printer to your Windows 10 (32-bit) laptop, even though it works fine with your MacBook and both devices are on the same network. Let's walk through some steps to get this resolved.
Check Network Connection
- Ensure both your printer and Windows laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (same SSID and frequency band – 2.4GHz is recommended).
- On the printer, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings > Wireless Summary to confirm it's connected.
Restart Devices
- Restart your printer, Wi-Fi router, and Windows laptop to refresh network connections.
Temporarily Disable Firewall/Antivirus
- Sometimes, Windows Firewall or third-party antivirus software can block printer discovery.
- Temporarily disable them and try adding the printer again via the HP Smart app.
Manually Add the Printer
If HP Smart still doesn’t detect the printer:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a printer.
- Select “The printer that I want isn’t listed”.
- Choose “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname”.
- Enter the printer’s IP address (you can find this on the printer’s control panel under Network Settings).
- Follow the prompts to complete installation.
Reinstall HP Smart App
- Uninstall the HP Smart app.
- Download the latest version from the Microsoft Store.
- Reinstall and try adding the printer again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
