HP app stopped working after software update officejet pro 9019.
I've reinstalled and the logo appears, as soon as that is clicked on the app begins to open and then simply shuts down!

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you tried updating the macOS?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps: Use Finder to uninstall the HP Smart app.
-
Open Finder
, click Go, and then click Applications. -
Locate HP Smart, and then drag the HP Smart icon to the trash.
Next install the HP Smart app, and then add your printer.
-
Go to HP Smart (in English) to download and install the HP Smart app on your Mac running macOS 10.12 or later.
-
On your computer, open the HP Smart app, and then click the Plus sign
. -
Follow the on-screen prompts to add your printer or set up a new printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello,
Did you originally download the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store or from HP.com?
If you installed it from hp.com then you can delete /Users/username/Library/Application Support/HP Smart.
Then delete the app in the Applications folder and download HP Smart from Mac App Store.
If you downloaded it from the app store you can basically reset it back to zero by deleting:
/Users/username/Library/Containers/com.hp.SmartMac
Then relaunch the app from the Applications folder and go through setup again.
