Trying to install new printer driver for HP 3050 J610. I cannot connect to wireless any longer - don't know what happened. Installer asks for a password. I don't have one and there is no option to reset password.

Hi @STstace
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
To assist you better, kindly send a screenshot of the window where it asks for the password in your next post.
The password required while connecting to the wireless network is the password for your wireless network.
To know how to retrieve the wireless password, refer to this document.
While installing the printer driver on the MAC, it may also ask for the MAC password for security reasons.
To know how to connect the printer to a wireless router, follow these steps:
Use WPS to connect the printer to your wireless network.
-
Locate the WPS button on your router, but do not press it yet.
If your router does not support WPS, skip to the next step to connect the printer with the HP Smart app.
-
Turn on the printer. If the printer is in sleep mode, press the Cancel button on the control panel.
-
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button
for at least 3 seconds or until the wireless light starts to flash.
-
On the router, press and hold the WPS button for 3 to 5 seconds or until it shows that the WPS connection process has started.
NOTE:
The printer stops searching for a WPS connection two minutes after the wireless button is pressed. If you were unable to press the WPS button within that timeframe, attempt these steps again.
Once the printer connects to the wireless network, the blue Wireless light on the control panel turns on solid.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@STstace, thank you for the information.
It seems like the driver in the disk is not compatible with this version of macOS. Before installing the printer on the MAC, let us connect the printer and the MAC wirelessly.
If your wireless router supports WPS, the WPS button will be mentioned at the back of the router.
An Example of old routers. The blue button with the up and down arrow is the WPS button.
You may contact your Internet service provider to check if the router supports WPS.
To check the network settings on the printer, print a network configuration page
-
On the HP product control panel, press the Wireless button (
). The Wireless menu displays.
-
Press the button (
) next to Print Reports.
The printer driver can be downloaded from the HP Support site. Click here.
Keep me posted.

I have not had time to get into this today. But here are pics of my router. Not seeing the WPS? It's a Netgear
I printed out the network settings. What am I looking for on the printout? I am connected to Wifi.
