HP CP1520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I no longer have a CP 1520 printer installed.  It has been uninstalled and does not show up on my list of devices in control panel.  I continue to be notified that I have updates to install:

HP driver update for HP LaserJet Professional CP1520 Series PCL 6

How do I stop this Windows 10 notification as there is no device to uninstall?

I have the same problem.

Try to delete the 1520 printer driver:

Hi,

  1. Search Windows for device manager, then click Device Manager in the list of results.
  2. Click Printers.
  3. Right-click Unknown device, then select Uninstall to remove it, also check for the same under Print Queues.
  4. As well be sure to look for any instance with your printer model under the same categories.
  5. Now check for any difference

Thanks for the response but this does not fix the issue.  I don't have an Unknown printer installed.  This driver appears to not be linked to anything on my system but always shows up in the updates page and can't be removed.

Thanks for the tip.  This looks like the fix.
